eXtensions Accelerated & Competitive Programs
The accelerated programs at EDA are ideal for dancers who are highly motivated and who are inspired to excel in dance! These students should be focused, dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic, and possess confidence, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn. Students are accepted into the accelerated programs by invitation or audition only. These programs offer intensive technical training to develop and strengthen posture, placement, flexibility, balance, coordination, strength, musicality, rhythm and artistry. The student’s overall approach to dance needs to be one that exceeds expectations.
The goals of these programs are:
• To be dedicated to weekly training and always work to full potential
• To improve skills, technique and quality of movement throughout the year
• To display excellent dance technique, style, stage presence and sportsmanship at all events

**NEW THIS YEAR – Once a dancer reaches 9th grade they will be able to somewhat customize their training to suit their interests, goals and time constraints. All competitive HS dance students can choose whether or not to continue taking weekly tap, hip hop and/or contemporary classes and to compete in those genres.  Students will still be required to train in tap, hip hop and contemporary during conventions, master classes, etc.. To compete a solo in a particular genre you must be enrolled in that genre.  All HS students must compete in jazz, lyrical, production and at least one of the optional genres. Please contact Jen with any questions.

Being a part of these accelerated programs is a serious commitment. Members must be dedicated, passionate, hard working, eager to learn and willing to grow.
All eXcite!, eXceL and eXtreme Team members are encouraged, but not required to compete.

Please contact Jen if you have any questions concerning a competitive or accelerated program.
